Summer Happenings

So I'm really excited- We recently moved into another apartment, and we have a tiny little porch, with just enough space for flowers and bird feeders! And like I told my mom I really wanted a hummingbird feeder... So nothing happened for a couple days, and I had kinda put it off my mind. I tried to stay away from looking out the double glass doors, so that I wouldn't have to think about my poor hummingbirds coming to our window and finding nothing(we had seen them come our first day, and every once in a while since then, only to leave after finding out that our flowers didn't have much to offer), but this Sabbath, my mom went to visit a friends house, and she came back- with a hummingbird feeder! Yeah, i was happy!
So anyway, there's a lot more stuff of "substance" going on these days, like boring math classes, skunks crowding our town, and long days spent thinking about Sam, who I haven't seen in 2 months and 2 days, but I thought I would just tell the birdie story this time. Next time I'll have to write about my first baseball game that I ever attended! It was super awesome!
I'm not too happy about the summer going by as fast as it has been, but so far I haven't found a way to make it slow down:(
If anyone besides myself is reading this, I hope you're doing well;) Cheers!

Life

Today is Diana's birthday... And time keeps flying by. Spring break is at the end of this month, and before I know it, this semester will be over too! Yeah!
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Phil. 3:14
Sometimes, I'd rather do anything but study. But I gotta remember the big picture... I try.
I just gotta take it all one day at a time.
Adrian and Sam are officially Bernals now... And I can't wait till I'm one officially too:)
Someday.

Bits of the past month

Happy times. Busy times...
I finally got accepted into Southern, and finally got my GED scores.
I actually passed:) PTL all the way.
Sam was a student before me... The smart dude. Let's just say that he did quite a bit better than me on the ACT test, and has helped me with the whole college thing. I'm so lucky to have him as a not so little brother. He makes me smile.
He's all moved into the dorm, and is taking a History class this summer, and will be majoring in History I think...
We live really close to SAU, so I am not sure if I'll be staying in the dorm or not yet. I guess I should know by now, but I haven't made up my mind yet.
Adrian is still Ayan. He makes life in the Bernal home rather unique. He even brings me ice form work sometimes:) My mom and sister Andrea both have awesome jobs that God has blessed them with.
My mom had to be taken to the emergency room because of a accident at Wal Mart. Her foot was pretty badly mashed up. No broken bones, thanks to God. Let's just say that Satan has realy been attacking her like crazy, but somehow, God always overrules his tactics.

And this week I survived the 100 + degree weather working in Landscaping... Fun fun.
I love my jobs.
So anyway, as you(atleast I) can see God has been good to my family. He keeps our cars running(somehow), provides a roof for our heads, grub for our tummies, and friends that keep us sane... And above that , He is with us. He surrounds us with His Angels. He gives us of Himself. He's given us all good things. James 1:17. He's our Hero.

Wishing whoever reads this a happy week.

I found this quote in Africa, as I was going through some faith testing experiences:
"I asked the angel why there was no more faith and power in Israel. He said 'Ye let go of the arm of the Lord too soon. Press your petitions to the throne, and hold on by strong faith. The promises are sure.'"
Early Writings, Pg 73
So I hold on by strong faith. I press my petitions. I claim His WORD. It is ALL powerful...
Yes, I often forget that, but tonight, as I sit here reading through my old journal, I see that quote that I had jotted down during a time of darkness and confusion, and now I can look back to those days and know through experienece that:"...The promises are sure."

It's scary how our faith can shrink really fast. So let's not give an inch to unbelief, cause if we do, Satan takes one foot. We don't have time to 'let go of the arm of the Lord'... There is only time to hold on even harder. I for sure can say that I've had my share of setbacks, but faith is the victory.
Thanks God, for always being ready to stretch my faith. Thanks for bringing my attention to this quote. Thanks for being You.

So this is my first post! I have no idea what to say right now, so I wont try to make something up. In a few minutes we're headed to the aquarium in Chattanooga. My first time:) My mom works for the Network 7 Media Center ministry, and they're holding the premier of what their ministry is all about at the aquarium. They're gonna introduce her up front, so of course we gotta go see her:) Blessings to you all. - Wait, no ones reading this, never mind
